The RCVS Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday [27 November 2012] severely reprimanded and warned as to her future conduct a Brighton-based veterinary surgeon who failed to maintain a proper boundary between her professional and personal relationships with a client.

We are now seeking nominations for candidates to stand in the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon Council (RCVS Council) and Veterinary Nurse Council (VN Council) elections. The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 31 January 2013.

At its November 1 meeting, RCVS Council ratified Gordon Hockey as Head of Legal Services and Registrar. This is a new role created when the post of Registrar and Secretary was split into two: Chief Executive and Secretary; and Head of Legal Services and Registrar. Following from this, Eleanor Ferguson was approved as Head of Professional Conduct. Meanwhile, Corrie McCann was promoted to Head of Operations, and three posts have been made redundant.
