Certificates in Veterinary Nursing Theory are currently being phased out, so no new students may register for this qualification. The certification end date for completion of Level 2 VRQ was 31 July 2012 and for Level 3 is 31 July 2013.
Certificates in Veterinary Nursing Theory, also known as Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs), provide the basis of the RCVS Professional Syllabus.
The VRQ awards are each assessed through external examinations set by the RCVS Awarding Body. Details of these examinations and how to apply to be examined are set out in the Examinations section of this website.
In addition to Certificates in Veterinary Nursing Theory, students are also required to undertake work-based assessment (NVQ awards at levels 2 and 3).
